Jason Farman is an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park in the Department of American Studies and the Program in Digital Cultures and Creativity. He received his Ph.D. in Performance Studies and Digital Media from the University of California, Los Angeles under the advisement of N. Katherine Hayles, Mark Poster, and Sue-Ellen Case. He is currently working on a book manuscript titled, Mobile Interface Theory: Embodiment in Locative Art, Gaming, and Pervasive Computing Culture (in contract with Routledge).
